you've got the touch, you've got the power... |
i'm so tempted to chop all my hair off. it's getting mermaid long yet again though the wave seems to have tamed a bit. Maybe some color or layers will help. Always wanted this color that Mandy Moore had for a while. And the cut too. But she has fine hair so that's out of the question. When i chopped all my hair off years ago, i had a mushroom for a head.
there's something good that came out of the whole hilton hullaballoo...i like her blouse. very sharp and clean. where to get it...
I know I haven't written in a long time and there are those who are happy to have found my new blog (hi topsy! hi bro! hi benita!) I think the last thing the boys (and girls) would want is to read about my fashion fantasies. So ok, just an update. Last weekend we finally moved house. It's still pretty messy here though. Lots of boxes that have filled up our garage and have yet to be discarded. Our rooms also do not have much room to walk on so I'm still jumping over each box everyday to get dressed in the morning. My daily wardrobe leaves much to be desired since everything seems to still be in my luggages. We really like our new house though. Very roomy and we all seem to come together here. There's a huge space for the entrance, living room, dining room, goes all the way to the backyard and into the pool. None of us have actually jumped in yet. Aside from the pool man still set on coming later this week, again, my swimsuits are still packed. I don't even know if i'll still fit in them.
And here's what a lot of people are shocked about. Erik and I share a bathroom. We've always shared stuff and he's my best buddy so we've come up with a system for privacy anyway. the other day though, I had already gone off to work, he slammed into the door because I forgot to unlock it. hehe. thank God he loves me or else he would've gotten revenge. So the family's first trip after the move was...Ace Hardware! we bought bathroom mats, shelves, cleaning supplies, waste baskets. As if we didn't have enough stuff in the house but we needed things to help us clean. I forgot my purple plunger in the old house too. sniff. my whole bathroom there had purple stuff. Now it seems erik and I have gravitated towards having orange to accent the cream bathroom. Think it works.
Moving to a new house is hard. Especially for a family of pack rats like mine. We aren't even rats anymore. we're like pack pachyderms. An insane amount of stuff was shuttled from one house to the other for a good four days. I still can't find my phone charger and it took me three days to find my business planner and notebook. No wonder i've been feeling so out of control lately.
Aside from the homelife, i personally celebrated my first year at work. I'm really happy but it's not like anyone would appreciate it aside from me. So I had my own little pat on the back to congratulate me on staying in a company and finding my own ways to feel the sense of accomplishment on a day-to-day basis. I can say I do enjoy what I do although now I joke my bosses that I think they're trying to make me lose weight by dropping all these projects on my lap. It's insane. But I have to say, pretty good enough to smile about. A good feeling came over me when someone asked me about what I do. Hard to enumerate but gave him a nutshell of it all and being a marketing student, he said - i'd like to be doing what you do. That made me feel great. Now if only I can have those two extra days I've been looking for where everyone else stands still but me and I get to finish some projects for approval and clean my cubicle. A snap to my smile was when Em came by my cubicle and said "is your place ever going to get clean?" Tsk tsk.
Been talking to jb more often lately which is good. his funny calls in the middle of the morning cheers me up. maybe it's an escape for a few minutes from the day's demands because he'll talk about something else - like how the transformers movie is awesome. I have another take on that though. I have yet to watch it and i'm still deciding if I will. Every guy on the street plays the stupid transforming sound (although jb can voice it out better hehe) but the reason for my boycott was because they ruined transformers as an iconic reference. for the sake of being popular. I hate michael bay. Really. he's such a sell out and fails more often than not. he'll put in as much hype as possible just to sell more on opening day but after you watch it, you just want to throw the movie out of your memory. Take bad boys II. I rest my case.
I won't delve deeper into my despise for making transformers the movie depart from the original animation. I just want bumblebee to be a real volks. see what selling out does to you? what is he now...a dodge caravan or something? yeesh. sucks. geeks should avoid this movie but for the sake of basis for judgment, i guess we should all help support the ever rich and growing action movie genre.
I have a guilty pleasure for the past month though. Listening to Mo Twister, Mojo Jojo and Andie on 89.9 every morning on my way to work. Best wake up call and I love hearing Mojo Jojo laugh or shriek like the gay guy he is. adorable. hehe. i'm wierd, i know.
Anyone know where I got the title of my entry? only my fellow geeks would ;) |
